Sarah Palin

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Four days after those shootings in Tucson, Arizona Sarah Palin decided to lock and load and then open fire on political pundits and journalists. “Blood Libel,” she screeched in response to criticism of her recent map of America with rifle crosshairs on certain parts of the country, showing targets of her anger with those who don’t agree with her rants.
Or, as she once said to talk radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger, “Don’t retreat, reload.”
Palin’s outrage was in a seven minute video statement posted on her Facebook page. Interesting that she never offered her condolences to the victims killed and wounded in the attack, it was all about Sarah Palin, who perceives herself as the wounded party.
Palin accused pundits and journalists of “blood libel” in what she called their rush to blame heated political rhetoric for the shootings. The phrase “Blood Libel” is described as “fraught with pain in Jewish history.” The phrase is generally used to mean the false accusation that Jews murder Christian children to use their blood in religious rituals, particularly, the baking of matzos for Passover. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was critically wounded, in the attack, is Jewish.
Nice touch, Sarah.
